Major: Nursing Hometown: Chicago, IL Why Kappa: I chose Kappa because even going to the interest event for Kappa and going through recruitment, I felt right at home at Kappa. I felt like each sister that I talked to was genuinely interested in my answers and the questions that they asked me during recruitment really made me look at life through a different perspective and I felt supported while being pushed outside of my comfort zone!

Major: Criminology Minor: Political Science Hometown: North Judson, IN Why Kappa: Kappa not only has many leadership opportunities for me and other sisters, but it has brought me lifelong friends that I never knew I would have. The philanthropies are near and dear to my heart, and they create volunteer opportunities that help me grow as a person and a leader. Kappa is also like another home for me and brought me so many amazing sisters.

Major: Nursing Hometown: Homer Glen, IL Why Kappa: I chose Kappa because of the friendly and instant connection I had with them even before accepting my bid. I immediately felt at home. I love that if I always have someone to go to if I need advice, help in classes, or just want to hangout.

Major: Nursing Hometown: Portage, IN Why Kappa: Kappa allowed me to open up and gain self confidence. I am surrounded by a whole bunch of supporting sisters who will support me on whatever adventure I go on. I created lifelong friendships where these women lift me up when I’m down and also support me when i am strong. And the best part is I am able to reciprocate the love and actions that my sisters provide for me. This sisterhood lasts for more than my college years and I am so excited to be a part of something bigger.

Major: Marketing Hometown: Vernon Hills, IL Why Kappa: After joining as a sophomore I chose Kappa because of all the women who made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. They valued me as a person and saw personal growth in me that I didn’t even see. I’ve been able to step out of my comfort level and try new things with support by my side every step of the way. I am so lucky to be surrounded by such kind and beautiful individuals that all have the same values and goals as me in everyday life and proud to call many of them my best friends.
